Multi-skill development production unit launched in Longleng
DIMAPUR — Innovation in outsourcing and marketing value and multi-skill development production unit under the Directorate of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship was launched in Longleng town on Friday.
According to a DIPR report, Kivong-Kivheli Foundation is the implementing agency.
Speaking at the launch programme, the deputy commissioner of Longleng and special guest, W Manpai Phom, stated that various aspects should be taken into consideration and alternative or better avenues be explored for a society to move forward.
The DC exhorted the trainees and beneficiaries that any skill should be viewed with its relevance in the eco-system. He also emphasised on the importance of maximising the number of sale units and minimising on price.
The chairperson of the foundation, P Angbhenla Phom, acknowledged the deputy commissioner and executive secretary for their contribution towards the success of the programme. She informed the gathering that the project was sanctioned under the initiative of the Nagaland chief minister through the department of Planning and Transformation.
Report stated that the unit would be implemented by Kivong-Kivheli Foundation, Longleng, under the guidance and supervision of the Directorate of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. She also introduced the programme mapping details to be activated zone-wise in the district.
Outsourcing and market linkage shop concept in the district was also explained in detail.
The programme, chaired by secretary of KKF, Alemla Phom, was attended by representatives from civil societies of the district, invitees, trainers and trainees.
