Dimapur, Feb. 21 (EMN): Model Christian College, Kohima organised cultural day on the theme, ‘Transcending Differences and Embracing Uniqueness’ at the college auditorium on Feb. 19.
An update from the institution informed that Dr. Hovithal Sothu, Project Director, TAFMA, Nagaland was the guest speaker.
The event was hosted by Neichuzonuo Rupreo, assistant professor, department of Sociology, and L Christina, assistant professor, department of Chemistry, while the welcome address was given by co-ordinator of Cultural Club, Kekhrieneinuo, assistant professor, department of Sociology.
Speaking on the theme, Dr. Hovithal Sothu emphasised on the need to overcome differences by laying down some elements that will ensure coexistence. In a culture rich Nagaland characterised by variety of dialects and other differences, he added that appreciation of the other, resolving conflicts and embracing differences can contribute to the welfare of a thriving, coexisting society, it said.
