Missing person found in Wokha

WOKHA — A 71-year-old person identified as Mhonshio Odyuo of New Riphyim Village, who was reported missing on June 22 after he left for gathering green vegetables in the forest, was found on Tuesday morning at around 10 am in an unconscious state.

The missing person was found after extensive search by a combined team comprising the villagers and community of Englan range along with NDRF team.

Odyuo was found below the mini stadium in Riphyim village. After administering first aid, the search team admitted him at Dr. Motsuo Memorial District Hospital, Wokha, where he is currently undergoing treatment in ICU ward.

In a telephonic conversation, the chairman of New Riphyim Village, T Chanbemo Odyuo, informed this correspondent that Odyuo was found unconscious and later taken for medical treatment at District Hospital Wokha. He informed that Mhonshio Odyuo was physically fit and normal and stays alone in the village before the incident.

The chairman disclosed that the villagers came to know of his missing report only on Sunday morning as he did not return from the forest.
