DIMAPUR — The District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Kohima, in collaboration with the Nagaland State Social Audit Agency (NSSAA) and the Social Audit Unit Nagaland, held the second phase of the FY 2024-25 Social Audit District Level Public Hearing under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) for FY 2022-23.
The hearing took place at the DPDB Conference Hall in Kohima on September 23, according to a DIPR report. A total of 26 villages were audited: 13 from the rural development blocks of Jakhama and Kohima in Kohima district, and another 13 from Tseminyu Block in Tseminyu district.
Speaking on the occasion, Imlirenla Sanglir, assistant director of NSSAA, Social Audit Unit Nagaland, commended the progress made by the programme functionaries and implementing agencies in adhering to the guidelines during project execution.
She also highlighted the review of the social audit findings and urged the programme functionaries and the implementing agency to take corrective measures based on the findings.

EAC Tseminyu, Ruokuosetuo Tetso, represented district administration as an observer for the meeting. Representatives from the accountant general’s office, including Vizobeilie, assistant audit officer, and Neikhol Sothu, senior auditor, attended the hearing as observers.
Block development officers and staff, officials from the District Rural Development Agency, MGNREGA beneficiaries, village functionaries, VLOs, and media participated in the hearing meeting.
The programme concluded with the reading of village-wise gram sabha resolutions and a vote of thanks by the chairperson and project director of DRDA Kohima, Kevilhoubei-ü.
