MGM College organises anti-dengue awareness campaign

DIMAPUR — The health and sanitation committee of MGM College, Dimapur, organised a seminar and a poster-making competition in the college auditorium on August 20 as part of an anti-dengue awareness campaign on the theme ‘Fight the bite, beat dengue’.

The seminar was led by Sangeeta Kumari, the convener of the committee, who also served as the resource person for the event, according to an update.

In her address, she highlighted the causes, effects, and preventive measures necessary to combat the spread of dengue fever. She emphasised the importance of community involvement in adopting preventive measures to curb the disease’s transmission.

In the poster-making competition, which featured student participation, cash prizes were awarded to the top two winners: Piwoto V Aye from the first semester, who claimed first place, and Manzen P Konyak, also from the first semester, who took second place.
