Man found dead in Niuland, wife detained
DIMAPUR — A 38-year-old man, identified as Khevishe Chishi, was found dead in his home in Kiyezhe Village, Kuhuboto, Niuland District, early Tuesday morning.
Police officials confirmed that the victim was discovered with injury marks on his neck, suspected to have been inflicted by a sharp object. The incident is believed to have occurred around 3:30 am.
Chishi’s body has been sent to Dimapur District Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Police have detained the victim’s wife for questioning. The investigation is ongoing and authorities are unable to release further details at this time, the official said.
