Longleng to intensify awareness on COVID

Dimapur, Aug. 4 (EMN): Longleng district task force (DTF) for COVID-19 has decided to intensify awareness campaign in all villages and towns through various platforms to sensitise and re-motivate the villagers, student bodies, village authorities and churches on vaccination, conduct special vaccination drives.

The decision to this effect was taken during the meeting of DTF for COVID-19 held on August 3 under the chairmanship of the deputy commissioner of Longleng, Dharam Raj, in his office’s conference hall.

A DIPR report stated that the deputy commissioner has highlighted on the current status and scenario of COVID-19 in India. While emphasising on the importance of vaccination in the district, he urged all government employees and organisations to get vaccinated.

Dr. Mero, (RRT) WHO, made a powerpoint presentation on age wise vaccination data in Longleng, availability of COVID vaccine in the district headquarters, and immunisation coverage analysis.
