DIMAPUR — The Longleng Bar Association (LBA) has elected a new team of office bearers for the tenure of 2024–2027 during the general body meeting held on August 20 at the District Court Complex, Longleng.
In a press release, the LBA informed that according to the nominating committee report, the new team will be headed by S Wati Angh as president, Bendangnuken A and Panglang Y Phom as vice presidents, Hamnyei Angh as general secretary, Chingmei Phom as assistant general secretary and P Monyei Phom as finance secretary.
In his acceptance speech, the new president expressed gratitude to the nominating committee for selecting him and pledged to work for the association and also ensure that legal principles are upheld and justice is served.
Wati Angh further underscored the need to maintain a respectful and collaborative partnership between the bar and the bench for the effective functioning of the legal system.
