DIMAPUR — The deputy commissioner (DC) of Wokha, Vineet Kumar, on Tuesday inaugurated a livelihood support centre-cum-retail shop in Wokha town. The centre was sponsored by NEEPCO Doyang under its corposrate social responsibility (CSR).
Speaking at the inaugural programme, the DC thanked the NEEPCO Doyang for sponsoring such kind of livelihood initiatives to the rural communities in their venture for economic stability and sustainability. Stating business need continuity and reliability for the costumers to rely on them, he urged the organisation to put more effort to connect with the farmers and other supply chains to promote their market and to expand their community, a DIPR report stated.
Short speeches were also delivered by head of NEEPCO (plan), John Zeliang, BPM-NSRLM and representatives from state mission management unit, Kohima.
