DIMAPUR — The Department of Labour and Employment has notified all registrants left out of the e-Shram portal under the department of Nagaland that a mela will be held from November 4 to the 8th, across district civil supply offices.
According to a DIPR report, the Supreme Court of India took cognisance of the issues faced by migrant workers and passed an order on October 4, 2024, in Miscellaneous Application No. 94 of 2022 in Suo Moto Writ (C) No. 6 of 2020 regarding the problems and miseries of migrant workers.
The mela will be jointly organised by the departments of Labour and Food and Civil Supplies to issue ration cards to all unregistered individuals under the e-Shram portal.
It was mentioned that all e-Shram registrants who have not yet been issued a ration card should take advantage of this opportunity.
