DIMAPUR — Hanging libraries for four government schools under Khongsa Aspirational Block and one government school under Pungro block were handed over by Yithachu Thur, EAC and nodal officer (ABP), Pungro, to the head teachers on September 16 at EBRC Hall, Pungro.

Donated by Books For All (BFA) Noida, the collaborative initiative of Piramal Foundation (Aspirational District Collaborative) Kiphire and EBRC Pungro aims to encourage children to develop the habit of reading and improve learning outcomes.

The key feature of the hanging libraries is that they do not require any additional space or dedicated infrastructure, as they can easily be hung on walls. Each hanging library contains 100 illustrated storybooks in English.

The beneficiaries of the hanging libraries include Government Primary School Iponger, Government Middle School Khongsa, Government High School Mimi, Government Middle School Moya, and Government Middle School Khongjiri, impacting over 200 students enrolled in these schools.
