Kiphire bands compete in acoustic beat contest

DIMAPUR — Sound Core, Kiphire, organised an acoustic beat contest featuring four local bands, with The Whispering Strings emerging as the winner and Mighty Thorne as the runner-up on September 6.

Individual awards were presented to Khumchoba from Mighty Thorne (Best Lead Guitarist), Lethekhing from The Whispering Strings (Best Vocalist), Acho Thonger from Euphonic (Best Bassist), and Tsioba from The Whispering Strings (Best Drummer).

The event was hosted by Atsungba Sangtam and began with a welcome address from Tsilikyu, director of Sound Core.

The sponsors for the event were R Pilise Sangtam, entrepreneur and proprietor of Glass Hardware, Kiphire; S Yusumong Sangtam, CDPO, Kiphire; and Akhase Jingrü.
