Kekhrie Krotho to organise folk song and folk fusion competition
KOHIMA — Kekhrie Krotho, in collaboration with Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA), will organise the second edition of ‘All Nagaland Open Folk Song and Folk Fusion Competition’ on December 16 in Khuzama village on the theme “Strings of the past, melody of the future.”
This was announced by the organisers during a press conference in Kohima on Saturday. It was informed that the day would witness inauguration of ‘Khuzama Experience.’
Nounese Sale, chief event manager, stated that following the success of last year’s event, they are thrilled to host the second edition in Khuzama this year again. He disclosed that this year’s edition would feature the ‘Khuzama Experience’ incorporating guides to share captivating stories about five strategic locations in the village.
He informed that ‘Khuzama Experience’ would commence at 10 am followed by the folk song and folk fusion competition in four categories. The three winners in solo folk song category would receive cash award of INR 10,000, INR 6,000 and INR 3,000 respectively.
He added that similar prizes would be presented in the solo folk fusion category.
In the group folk song category, the victors would receive INR 20,000 and INR 10,000 respectively.
“This prize structure also mirrors the group folk fusion category”.
