KAMS FC defeat Jaipur Elite FC 4-0 in I-League 3

DIPHU — Karbi Anglong Morning Star Football Club (KAMS FC) defeated Jaipur Elite FC 4-0 on September 7 in the ongoing I-League 3, Group D matches at the Karbi Anglong Sports Association (KASA) playground in Diphu.

In the first half, both teams struggled to gain momentum. However, in the 24th minute, forward Kevisanyu Penseyie scored a stunning goal, assisted by Komolson Rongphar, giving KAMS FC a 1-0 lead at half-time.

In the second half, KAMS FC’s Kevisanyu Penseyie scored again in the 47th minute, with Komolson Rongphar providing the assist once more, making it 2-0. Forward Singdoulien Khongsai added another goal for the team in the 61st minute, putting KAMS FC in a commanding position.

Despite Jaipur Elite FC’s efforts to counterattack, they failed to score as KAMS FC’s solid defence prevented them from finding the net. Finally, forward H Robinson Khongsai sealed the win for the home team with a fourth goal in the 67th minute.

Earlier, in the 2 pm match, Keinou Library & Sports Association (KLASA) FC from Manipur and Mumbai Kenkre FC played out a thrilling 1-1 draw.

Kangkabam Lanngamba Singh scored for KLASA FC in the 8th minute, while midfielder Atharva Ashish Rewale equalised for Mumbai Kenkre FC in the 82nd minute after coming on as a substitute in the 78th minute.

The match was attended by Tuliram Ronghang, Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, along with other dignitaries.
