IMD issues orange warning for Nagaland, Northeast states

DIMAPUR — The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange warning for Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
The IMD, in a post on X, forecasted that these states are very likely to experience isolated heavy (64.5-115.5 mm) to very heavy rainfall (115.5-204.4 mm) from June 30 to July 3.
Meanwhile, in a bulletin, the IMD reported a cyclonic circulation over northeast Assam at lower tropospheric levels.
Under its influence, widespread light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, along with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall, is expected over sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura during the next five days.
