Hukhai village, church celebrate golden jubilee

DIMAPUR — Hukhai village and Hukhai Baptist Church, Niuland district, celebrated their golden jubilee on Sunday in the presence of Jacob Zhimomi, Minister for Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) and Cooperation.

Speaking on the occasion, Zhimomi reminded the gathering to remember where they came from and where they are headed, stating that jubilees are a time of introspection and retrospection, according to an update.

He also paid tribute to the pioneers of Hukhai village in his address and expressed hope that their legacy would continue to inspire the villagers, serving as a beacon of unity.

Commemorating the occasion, the minister unveiled the golden jubilee monolith, dedicated by Rev. Dr. Pughoto Sema, executive secretary of the Western Sümi Baptist Churches Association (WSBAK).
