Health department bids farewell to outgoing officials

DIMAPUR — Health and Family Welfare Department bade farewell to its outgoing principal director, Dr. Ritu Thurr; director, Toshirenla; additional director, Dr. Khrielasanuo; joint director, Dr. Lhouvizotuo Belho; additional drug controller, WH Patton; and joint director of nursing, Radile, during a programme held at the directorate on Tuesday.

The programme was chaired by Dr. Akuo Sorhie, director (Health), while the scripture reading and prayer was led by Dr. Vezokholu Theyo, joint director, and songs were presented by Dahil Pfithu and Pelesa Keyho.

An update from the department stated that speech on behalf of the department was delivered by the incoming principal director, Dr. E Motsuthung Patton, while speeches were also delivered by outgoing officers.

Speaking on the occasion, S Tainiu, additional secretary of Health department, congratulated all the retiring officers for their contributions rendered to the department for 35 years with full dedication and sincerity. She further wished them a happy and prosperous retired life and encouraged all to continue sharing their inputs and experiences to the department whenever required.

The programme concluded with a benediction pronounced by Dr. Tinurenla Anichari, deputy director.
