KOHIMA — The governor and chief minister of Nagaland have extended their best wishes to the Zeliang community on the occasion of Chaga Gadi.
“This festival marks the invoking of the showers of blessings of good harvest and good health from the almighty,” Governor La Ganesan said in a message.
“As we joyously celebrate the festival, let us also continue to preserve and promote our age old traditions and keep the spirit of tradition and cultural heritage alive,” he added.
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio took to X, extending greetings to the Liangmai community on the occasion of Chaga Gadi festival, which honours womenfolk. “We acknowledge them for their invaluable contribution in fostering love and strengthening familial bonds,” he posted on X.
