Felicitation-cum-solidarity cultural meet in Karbi Anglong on Aug. 21

Diphu, Aug. 18 (EMN): A review meeting by Hill People Cultural Forum (HPCF) was convened at Taralangso guest house in Diphu on Thursday to chalk out programmes for organising a felicitation-cum-solidarity cultural meet on August 21.

Informing media persons, the chairman of HPCF Laichan Engleng said that a felicitation-cum-solidarity cultural meet will be organised at Sarsing Teron (Langkung Habe) Memorial Town Hall on August 21, to felicitate all the elected members of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), the six-armed organisations who were signatories of MoS 2021, Padmasree awardees, and other personalities.

The purpose of organising the felicitation programme is to acknowledge that under the leadership of Chief Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang, the signing of MoS, 2021 by six armed organisations with the state and central government was possible and thereby establishing peace and development in Karbi Anglong.

The HPCF with the 24 tribes and communities as members is working hard to make the programme a successful one, Engleng said.
