DIMAPUR — Fazl Ali College (FAC) in Mokokchung organised a one-day workshop on work ethics for non-teaching staff on May 12 with Akok Walling, retired principal of Dimapur Government College, and Rev. Sentimeren Jamir, associate pastor of Mokokchung Town Baptist Arogo, as the resource persons.

An update from the college stated that Akok Walling spoke about the principles of work ethics in the first session. He has highlighted four principles which included working for livelihood, working out of interest, working to serve and work as a calling. He stated that when people work out of interest, work to serve and when people work as a calling, it bear real fruit.

He pointed out that someone who works only for the salary or for money fails to contribute to the society and people might begin to start disregarding them, which in turn, could make them lonely. He also encouraged the staff to become individuals whom people could trust.
