DIMAPUR — An Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) delegation met with representatives from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Tuesday, at the BSF Patgaon facility in Azara, Guwahati.

While the ENPO confirmed that the meeting centred around the status of the Frontier Nagaland Territory demand and “a way forward action plan on the issue,” no specific details were disclosed.

However, sources within the organisation stated that discussions will continue in a subsequent meeting, tentatively scheduled for September.

In an update, the ENPO stated that the delegation, consisting of ENPO executives, tribal presidents, and representatives from various frontal organisations, including the Eastern Nagaland Gazetted Officers Association, Eastern Naga Students’ Federation, Eastern Nagaland Women’s Organisation, Eastern Nagaland Legislators Union, engaged in “fruitful” discussions with the MHA committee.

Notably, former ENPO team members, Tsapikyu Sangtam, Nyeiang Konyak, and Manlang Angto, also participated.

The MHA delegation was led by AK Mishra and Rajesh Kamble.
