DIMAPUR — Nagaland State BJP president, Benjamin Yepthomi on Monday expressed confidence that the demand for Frontier Nagaland Territory (FNT) by the Eastern Naga People’s Organisation (ENPO) will see the “light of day” very soon.

“Their issue is very much genuine and very legitimate, we stand with the people of ENPO, and we are very much confident that this ENPO issue will see the light of day very soon,” the state BJP president said.

Addressing a press conference at his residence, Yepthomi also asserted that only the BJP government and no other political party can solve the ENPO issue.

He said that the concerns of the ENPO are deep rooted, genuine and legitimate, and that their long- standing demand for FNT deserves an early resolution.

Yepthomi said both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have assured that the ENPO issue will be solved under the leadership of the BJP- led NDA government.

“We are confident that the solution concerning ENPO issue is not very far from now. And it is only the BJP government which is going to solve the ENPO issue and no other political party can solve this issue,” he iterated.

While stating that the BJP party stands in solidarity with the eastern Nagas, he also said that the ENPO demand is affecting all the Nagas.
