ECCE and FLN training in Tseminyu concludes

DIMAPUR — A five-day capacity-building training for in-service government teachers on Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) and Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) was held from March 18 to the 22nd at EBRC training hall in Tseminyu town.

The observers of the training were Dr. Bijano Murry, joint mission director of Samagra Shiksha SMA; Medohumo Phewhuo, TRA SCERT; and Ruokuoneinou, assistant district coordinator of DMA Samagra Shiksha, Kohima.

At the valedictory session, Gwayhunle Tep, SDEO of Tseminyu, motivated the teachers to be role models and facilitators in their endeavour. She impressed upon the teachers to continue learning, groomed and get updated to carry forward the visions imbibed in the National Education Policy 2020.

Nzale Kez, newly appointed ECCE trained teacher, presented a song, while Amos Seb and Rosemary Kent shared their training experiences.

A total of 120 teachers from 40 schools under Tseminyu district comprising one teacher each teaching in pre-primary schools and two teachers each teaching from classes 1 to 5 along with trained ECEE teachers attended the training.

The resource persons of the training were Hinilo Cheng, Francis Magh, Sohisha Tep, Arene Pojar, Nokhruvono Ltu and Mathew Seb.
