Dzüdza Landslide: Kohima-Dimapur traffic diverted for 3 days

DIMAPUR — In view of the restoration work for the removal of debris at the landslide site in Dzüdza village under Sechü Zubza, the deputy commissioner (DC) of Kohima has ordered the closure of the National Highway-29 segment between Kohima and Dimapur from chainage KM 163+980 to KM 164+030 (RHS).

This closure, effective from August 16 to the 18th, will be in effect from 11 am to 4 pm and applies to all traffic, including light vehicles.

During this period, all traffic will be diverted to alternate routes– Peducha Bridge to Tseisema (10 Mile Road) and Dzüdza bridge-Mezo Basa-Sechüma-Sechü Zubza (light vehicles only), according to the order.

The DC further advised commuters to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
