DIMAPUR — The distribution programme of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits to all the sanitation personnel under the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), to ensure their safety and well-being during their duties, was held on October 5.
According to an update, the distribution of PPE including boots, gloves, reflective jackets, safety goggles, raincoats, caps etc., was led by councillors in charge of Sanitation department, Achum Jami and Nzanbeni Humtsoe, in the presence of DMC chairperson Hukheto Yepthomi.
“The provision of this essential equipment underscores their commitment to maintaining a hygienic environment for the community,” it stated.
Further, as the success of the “forthcoming sanitation drive is contingent upon collaborative efforts and community engagement,” as such, the Sanitation department sought cooperation and support of the GBs, chairmen of colony councils and leaders of all the wards, in ensuring a smooth and effective execution of the sanitation drive.
