DIMAPUR — A three-day district-level training on Dakshata for medical officers, community health officers and nurses was held at the conference hall of District Hospital Mon from Oct. 3 to the 5th.
The training was conducted with the objective to increase the skills and knowledge of health care providers for quality care of women and newborns during and after childbirth, a DIPR report stated.
The training session was led by resource person Dr. Yingngam Wangnaolim, gynaecologist at DH Mon, who covered concepts of quality care and a safe childbirth checklist, including care at the time of admission, essential practices just before, during and after delivery, essential practices at the time of discharge and creating a quality-enabling environment in labour rooms.
Earlier, district programme manager Moie Bonnie Konyak welcomed all the participants and explained the purpose of the training.
