Dimapur, May 9 (EMN): Under the initiative of the deputy commissioner of Dimapur, Anoop Khinchi, a co-ordination meeting with the officers from the Education department was held on May 5 at the DC’s office.
During the meeting, the DC gave detailed explanation about the Covid-19 and the problems for the functioning of schools, the department said.
Another meeting was held in the office of the district education officer, Dimapur on May 5, where instruction was given to the head of schools to find ways and means to reach out to the students so that they learnt lessons even during the lockdown period, District Education Officer (DEO) R Amongla Jamir updated.
The DEO also informed that the head of schools reported that each school per class had formed Whatsapp group where the concerned subject teachers impart academic lesson to their respective students.
In addition, for students without android phones, hard copies of prepared notes of each subject were provided during the distribution of mid-day meal.
Till date, the entire lesson as per the schedule, as on April by the Nagaland Broad of School Education was covered and the remaining lessons for mid-term are being prepared and under process for distribution to the students. Daily updates to the students are taking place through Whatsapp, Jamir informed.
