DIMAPUR — Dimapur Government College Evangelical Union (DGCEU) celebrated its golden jubilee on October 14 at the college premises with Dr. Neizo Puro, assistant professor of Botany at Nagaland University, as the speaker on the theme “Your faithfulness continues through all generations.”
The celebration programme chaired by DGCEU advisor, Zuchobeni, and former president of DGCEU, Ayuh Konyak, began with worship led by the DGCEU praise and worship team.
An update from the college stated that DGCEU advisor, Dr. Hannah Tia, said the invocation, while the senior advisor of DGCEU, Sedevino Jakhalu, delivered the welcome address and a special song was presented by Sunday, former committee member of DGCEU.
It stated that David Koza, president of Union of Evangelical of India (UESI), Nagaland; Bino, pioneer advisor of DGCEU; Dr. ML Ngullie, former senior advisor of DGCEU; Edward Marüzü, state secretary of UESI Nagaland; and Achum Shitri, president of DGCEU (2018-19); spoke in detail about the progress of DGCEU through the years.
On the occasion, DICEU west zone also performed a choreography which was followed by a song by the present DGCEU committee members.
It stated that the speaker released the jubilee souvenir with a prayer of blessing before delivering his speech.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Bonghok, president of DGCEU, and a benediction by Kalivi Zhimomi, staff worker of west zone, Dimapur, UESI Nagaland.
