Dept. of EF&CC hands over shopping complex for business hub
DIMAPUR — The Department of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (EF&CC) officially handed over the shopping complex at Forest Colony, Midland, Dimapur, on September 4 for the establishment of an integrated business hub and innovation centre (IBH&IC).
The official handing over ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister of EF&CC, CL John, according to a press release issued by the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN).
Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and head of Forest Force, Dharmendra Prakash, presented the memorandum of understanding (MoU) to Principal Secretary and Development Commissioner, R Ramakrishnan, for a period of 10 years.
The envisioned centre is expected to serve as a nexus for entrepreneurial ventures, technological innovation, and cultural exchange. It will aim to provide state-of-the-art facilities and support services tailored to empower local businesses and startups.
On the occasion, another MoU was signed among four departments—EF&CC, Industries and Commerce, Planning and Transformation, and IDAN—to ensure the seamless operationalisation of the IBH&IC. The joint secretary of IDAN received the MoU.
