Dimapur, Jan. 29 (EMN): Chakhesang frontal organisations have stressed on the importance of unity amongst various Naga national political groups (NNPG), removal of illegal taxations, repeal of AFSPA (1958), monitoring educational institutions both in the government and private sectors for productive and effective outcome, revival of cultural identities, significance of farming, to revive the two pig farms in the district, self-reliance and entrepreneurship amongst others.
The issues were taken up for discussion during the first coordination meeting of the Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) for the year 2022 held in Phek town on January 27. Representatives from various Chakhesang frontal organisations including Chakhesang Mothers’ Association (CMA), Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF), Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) attended the meeting.
An update from CPO informed that values, visions and missions of the frontal organisations were shared and deliberated at length in the meeting for the welfare of the community in particular and Nagas in general.
It stated that CPO president, Vezuhu Keyho, has emphasised on the need for mutual understanding and cooperation amongst various frontal bodies. He also encouraged the gathering to have a more forward outlook and plan yearly action targets accordingly.
The coordination meeting was chaired by its vice president, Vecito Dozo.
