KOHIMA — The Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) held a series of coordination meetings with the newly elected councillors of the urban local bodies (ULBs) under its jurisdiction.

The meetings, held recently in Chozuba town, Pfutsero town, and Phek town, aimed to build a collaborative relationship between the CPO and the ULB elected representatives.

During the meetings, CPO representatives emphasised the importance of unity, transparency, and accountability in governance to ensure the effective delivery of public services and the sustainable development of areas within Chakhesang jurisdiction.

CPO president Vezuhu Keyho highlighted the importance of coordination as a means to strengthen ties and stressed that it ensures public welfare programmes and that the genuine issues and challenges faced by urban communities are addressed collectively, aligning with the goals and objectives of the ULBs.

The newly elected councillors also expressed their willingness and commitment to work with full sincerity and transparency to achieve the shared objectives.
