Covid-19 vaccination: 4224 healthcare workers inoculated in Nagaland so far

Kohima, Jan. 21 (EMN): A total of 254 healthcare workers from two districts — Kohima and Mon — were inoculated on the fifth day of the Covid-19 vaccination drive in Nagaland.
The department of Health and Family Welfare informed that Kohima and Mon had taken “special permission” from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to conduct vaccination drive on Thursday.
Earlier, the Union Ministry had instructed the state to conduct the exercise on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday every week to ensure routine immunisation activities are carried out on other days.
Till date, 4224 healthcare workers in Nagaland have been vaccinated without any adverse events.
Nagaland has received 49,000 doses of Covishield till date from the Centre. The first consignment of 26,500 doses arrived on January 14 and 23,000 doses on January 20.
