DIMAPUR — The Cosmos Zenith Festival Project 4.0, in collaboration with ADC office, Pfutsero, and sponsored by North Eastern Council (NEC) Secretariat, Shillong, was celebrated at Pfutsero Sports Complex on Friday.
Speaking at the festival, MLA Dr. Neisatuo Mero, stated that Nagaland has lots of festivals for different tribes in different seasons and added that Nagaland is known as the land of warriors and traditions.
He expressed his joy at the Cosmos Festival and compared human life and flowers having similarities where both grow at different stages and fade at the end. He pointed out that Pfutsero town is a place of greenery in all seasons, which is a blessing and added that people should learn to preserve and protect the rich flora and fauna.
He further advised the gathering to love the town and make Pfutsero a better place with better environment.
The ADC of Pfutsero, Mhalo Humtsoe, in her address, described Pfutsero as a breathtaking town of Nagaland. She stated that the festival represents a moment where the natural world around is in full bloom.
She added that the festival is a platform for fostering unity and peace between the villages, colonies and the people.
Other highlights of the programme included folk song presentation by Vehüsülü Rose and Hüshezülü Khamo, while Jual Centre of Music and Arts performed ‘Glorious,’ a war cry by Duelhi Dienu and folk dance by Gidemi Youth Organisation.
Rev. Dr. Neingupechiero, senior pastor of PTBC, invoked God’s blessings and concluded with a benediction said by Kezutsho Thida, NAP youth director.
