Dimapur, Nov. 28 (EMN): Nagaland College Principals’ Association (NCPA) president Dr. Visakhonü Hibo remarked that education is the best way to uplift the downtrodden, bridge gender disparity and raise the human capital.
Hibo stated this during the annual NCPA conference on November 27 on the theme “NEP 2020: Envisaging a new Nagaland”, which was co-sponsored by Nagaland State Commission for Women.
An update from the association stated that principal of St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama, Rev. Dr. Sebastian Ousepparampil said that NEP must take into consideration the issues of minorities and the marginalised. Dr. Chophy meanwhile laid emphasis on the need of quality education and diversifying skill-based learning to empower women. He suggested an ‘influential’ body must study the ground reality, and help the government to transform education in the state.
