Kohima, May 11 (EMN): Alluding to globalisation and the digital world, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Investment Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), Alemtemshi Jamir on Wednesday told students to change their mindset to live with the rest of the world.
He was addressing the valedictory session of the two-day Nagaland Edu Connect Conclave at Capital Convention Centre in Kohima.
Jamir pointed out that with globalisation, students must think about the world that is expanding and not be confined within Nagaland.
‘Open up your mind and change your attitude to the opportunities that are available with the rest of the world,’ he said.
He stated that students have to be dedicated and focused, and not succumb to the circumstances of being from a poor background.
Urging the students to grab opportunities, he said that once a student is qualified, opportunities are endless.
Earlier, Rajeev Gupta from Japan Centre of Excellence (JACEEX) made a presentation on ‘study of foreign language’; B Bosco, AGM State Bank of India, Kohima on ‘facilities for availing education loan’; Dr. Ramanan, CEO Laddar Consultancy on ‘empowerment through aspiration management’; while various educational institution representatives also made presentations of the courses that they offered.
