Dimapur, Aug. 7 (EMN): The Christian Forum Dimapur (CFD) has lauded the outgoing deputy commissioner of Dimapur, Anoop Khinchi, for his unconditional support and responsibility carried out during the poignant and pandemic Covid-19 crisis as a head of the district and to all the frontline workers for handling efficiently and effectively the challenges and issues faced by the public.
CFD, during its executive body meeting on August 5 at Bishop’s House, Dimapur, fondly recalled the joyful moments they all had while working with the outgoing deputy commissioner, Dimapur, and the whole team of the district administration. CDF has also welcomed and assured their support to the new deputy commissioner of Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan, as he took up the new responsibility.
CDF members also appreciated and assured their prayers and support to the relentless services rendered by the commissioner of police Rothihu Tetseo, chief medical officer Dr. Tiasunep Pongener, all the frontline workers, churches, NGOs, civil society organisations, volunteer organisations and various individuals for their tireless efforts in making the life of the people better during this crisis.
Meanwhile, CFD has informed that a one-day seminar and consultative on “Churches response to youth unemployment in Nagaland” will be organised on August 25 at Bethesda campus, Dimapur. The event is being planned in view of finding new avenues for the youth who are unemployed and returned to Nagaland due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In this regard, CFD chairman Rev. Moses Murry and the secretary Rev. Fr. CP Anto have invited all the pastors and church representatives to join in the discussion and plan together to combat the burning issue. Informing that the programme would be organised by strictly following the SOP, CFD has invited institutes and organisations working for the skill development.
