KOHIMA — The Chakhesang Baptist Church Ministers’ Hill (CBCMH), Kohima, will organise a worship concert titled ‘Glory unveiled’ on October 19 at the Capital Cultural Hall in Kohima from 5 pm onwards.

Informing this during a press conference held at the church premises on Wednesday, Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao, senior pastor of CBCMH, said that ‘Glory unveiled’ dives deep into the significance of Christ’s sacrifice, symbolised by the tearing of the veil in the temple. He said the powerful imagery represents the breaking down of barriers between humanity and the divine, granting human direct access to the glory of God.

He added that the concert is a humble beginning to herald the 50 golden jubilee of the church in 2030.

He informed that the concert will be a celebration of redemption in every aspect infused with worship from the performers to the technical crew. He added that it will be a gathering of believers from all walks of life, united in their desire to lift the name of Jesus and encounter His presence.

“Our aim is to glorify God, create an atmosphere for genuine worship and inspire hope and faith in the hearts of attendees,” Rev. Phesao said.

He said the concert is not just about music but the core concept is about the presence of the Holy Spirit adding that it is about encountering God in a real and tangible way, leaving a lasting impact on hearts and lives.

Considering people coming from different backgrounds, culture, denominations and race, the church has decided to organise the concert outside the church.

The music director of CBCMH, Akhrou Veswuh, said the choir members consisted of different age groups comprising 80 members and nine musicians. Veswuh added that concertgoers could expect contemporary Christian music, hymnals etc.

The entry fee has been priced at INR 100 for students, INR 200 for general and INR 1000 for donors (admit two).
