Books written by Manipur, Nagaland women writers released

Maibam Lokpa Ching (Manipur), Nov. 17 (EMN): Two books written by women writers of Manipur and Nagaland were jointly released on Sunday at the Imphal Peace Museum auditorium, Bishnupur district, about 20 south west of Imphal.
The newly released books were ‘Crafting the word’ edited by Manipur-based independent Thingnam Anjulika Samom and ‘The Many That I am’ edited by Nagaland-based filmmaker and writer Anungla Zoe Longkumer.
The collection of women’s writings are published by the well known New Delhi-based Zuban publishers.
Well known writer Dr. Ch Jamini Devi, Indian feminist writer and publisher Urvashi Butalia, noted columnist Prof. N Tombi, Prof. N Aruna of Manipur University, Principal DM College of Arts Prof. Ch Sheelaramani, Dr. Irom, Gambhir Head department of English Manipur University, Senior program Officer Yui Nakamura San of Sasakawa Peace foundation, Japan and Manipur Tourism Forum President Kh Krishnan were present as presidium members of the function.
Writers, translators, musicians, filmmakers attended attended the function.
Earlier in the second and third week of the current month, the two books of women writers of Manipur and Nagaland were formally launched in two different occasions in state capital of Arunachal Pradesh and National Capital.
The books were first released on the second day of the 3-day Arunachal Literature and Arts Festival 2019 which concluded on November 10.
