DIMAPUR — Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland state has reiterated giving all out support to ensure resounding victory of People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) consensus candidate in the upcoming Lok Sabha election under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, to further strengthen the BJP-led NDA government at the centre.
The decision to this effect was taken during a meeting of BJP Nagaland president, Benjamin Yepthomi, with the state deputy chief minister and in-charge of Nagaland for Lok Sabha, Y Patton; Rajya Sabha MP and Lok Sabha election convenor, S Phangnon Konyak; and state general secretary (Org) of Manipur and Nagaland, Abhay Giri, in Guwahati on March 4 evening.
A press release from the BJP Nagaland media department stated that the state leaders also attended the combined ‘Lok Sabha Committee Meeting’ of Manipur, Meghalaya and Nagaland at BJP Northeast Padma Bhavan in Guwahati. The meeting was addressed by BJP national general secretary (Org), BL Santhosh, and attended by northeast co-coordinator and national secretary, Rituraj Sinha.
Meanwhile, BJP Nagaland announced that the state president would undertake an intensive tour to the 60 mandal assembly constituencies from March 10 foster unity between the alliance partners and to ensure victory of the PDA consensus candidate in the upcoming Lok Sabha election 2024.
