Secretary to Bishop under Kohima diocese, Rev. Fr. Vekupa George Rhakho, conducted a three-day retreat at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Kidima
DIMAPUR — Secretary to Bishop under Kohima diocese, Rev. Fr. Vekupa George Rhakho, conducted a three-day retreat at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Kidima from July 28 to the 30th.
An update from the church stated that Rev. Rhakho has explained the meaning of retreat, which means ‘to stop and look back at one’s life.’ He said the retreat is a time for purification and experiencing God’s love.
Rev. Rhakho also dwelled on the seven sacraments of the Catholic Church including dead and judgement, forgiveness and confession.
It stated that the faithful confession was heard by Rev. Rhakha during the retreat, while Rev. Fr. Megorekho Thomas, assistant parish priest of Mary Help of Christians, Cathedral Kohima, offered Holy Mass.
Home visit was also organised during the retreat.
