AWUMT new team takes charge

MOKOKCHUNG — The new team of All Ward Union Mokokchung Town (AWUMT) has taken over charge during a programme held at its office at Penli Ward in Mokokchung town on Friday. AWUMT is an apex organisation formed by 18 ward authorities in Mokokchung.

The new team of AWUMT is led by Lemasashi from Alempang ward as chairman, Ati Mongro from Artang ward as vice president, Lanuwapang from Majakong ward as general secretary, Imlinungsang from Lijabalijen ward as assistant general secretary and M Yanger Longkumer from Dilong ward as finance secretary.

R Longritemjen Ao, chairman of Aongza ward, has been retained as treasurer of AWUMT.

Lemasashi informed that the new team’s priority was to take over the pending work left behind by the outgoing team. He has sought cooperation and support in order to achieve the aims and objective of the organisation.

The president also informed that they are closely monitoring the ongoing construction of Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital and would soon meet the appropriate authority to expedite the ongoing construction works.

Meanwhile, the outgoing president, Limanungsang, has termed the new president as an experienced leader and accredited all the success during his three years terms to the support and wisdom of the ward authorities.
