DIMAPUR — As part of the Mission Parivar Vikas (Family planning fortnight) scheme, SAARTHI– awareness on wheels was kicked off in Zunheboto district on Thursday.
An update from the office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Zunheboto, stated that SAARTHI is a campaign where a vehicle is equipped with interactive communication device to disseminate messages for family planning, provide family planning commodities, education and information and sensitise the community, which is to be operationalised in the far flung and high fertility areas.
The aim of SAARTHI is to increase sterilisation services by creating awareness about condoms, giving injectable contraceptives, pills in ensuring commodity security.
