DIMAPUR — In order to expand the benefit of the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) to all the eligible farmers engaged in animal husbandry, dairy and fisheries activities, the Lead bank office, Peren, in collaboration with Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services Department and Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Department, organised an awareness camp at the District Fishery Office in Jalukie town on Friday.
The resource persons of the campaign namely the chief manager of Lead Bank, Temsurenla, and the branch manager of SBI Jalukie, Purwati Longkumer, highlighted on what Kisan Credit Card (KCC) is all about, eligibility criteria, interest rate and its benefits.
A DIPR report stated the doubts and queries raised by participants were clarified by the resource persons during the interactive session.
Altogether, 63 farmers attended the KCC campaign programme.
The programme began with a welcome address delivered by the DFO of Peren, C Dory Yanthan, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by CVO Peren, Namsui Thou.
