DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles organised an anti-littering campaign on October 4 at Government High School, Naharabari, Dimapur, as part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

The campaign aimed to educate students about the importance of maintaining cleanliness and the detrimental effects of littering, stated a press release.

The initiative witnessed participation from over 100 students and 10 faculty members, highlighting the health and environmental hazards associated with not maintaining cleanliness and encouraging students to adopt sustainable practices.

Meanwhile, the Assam Rifles-conducted 15-day National Integration Tour, which commenced on September 29 and included 20 students and four teachers from Government Higher Secondary School in Meluri, reached Bangalore.

In Bangalore, they visited the National Military Memorial, Bangalore Palace, the National Gallery of Modern Art, and the Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium.

The students were also taken to Lal Bagh Botanical Garden, Tipu Sultan Summer Palace, Para Regimental Training Centre, and the ASC Centre of the Indian Army, where Major General Shamsher Singh Ahlawat, Deputy Commandant of the ASC Centre, addressed them.

The students will visit Belgaum in the next phase from October 6 to the 8th.
