DIMAPUR — The All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA) Longleng unit, in collaboration with the District Education Office (DEO), Longleng, organised a quartet competition to mark the NBSE golden jubilee for all private and government schools in Longleng district.

The event took place at the Phom Baptist Christian Association (PBCA) Convention Hall on July 12, according to a DIPR report.

In a brief message from assistant district education officer (ADEO) Kihovi Sema, delivered by Phoptan, LDA, from the DEO, he noted that the event provided an opportunity for students from both government and private schools to come together and showcase their talents.

He said that education is not just about reading books, passing exams, and becoming a government servant, mentioned that it involves the all-round development of a child and encouraged students to excel not only in their studies but also in other co-curricular activities.

In the competition involving eight schools, the first prize was awarded to Phom Lempong Higher Secondary School, Longleng; the second prize went to Christian School, Tamlu; and the third prize was given to Bautung Government Higher Secondary School, Longleng.

It was noted that the first prize winner will represent Longleng district in the state-level quartet competition to be organised by the NBSE.
