KOHIMA — Minister of Tourism and Higher Education, Temjen Imna Along, on Friday appealed to the people across the state to give their suggestions for the nation, state and the people through the Sankalp Patra Box or give a missed call or voice message to 909090-2024.

He stated this at the launch event of Sankalp Patra at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland state headquarters in Kohima.

Explaining that ‘Sankalp’ means vision and ‘Patra’ means document, he said the BJP as the world’s largest political party under the leadership of the national president JP Nadda has taken a lead to take the view of the people for the party manifesto, which he claimed is a first of its kind.

Along said the initiative was to take views and suggestions from every nook and corner of the country to be included in the party manifesto and added that the Sankapl Patra van will be touring in various districts and organise events. He stated that the move was to make India developed by 2047 under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

The former president of BJP Nagaland and minister claimed that about 98% of the BJP manifesto and its commitment in 2014 and 2019 under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, were fulfilled.

He informed that for the BJP, manifesto is like a holy book to build the people of the nation.

Advisor of Printing and Stationeries and Prison, Kropol Vitsu, commended the initiative of the journey of India towards Viksit Bharat and hailed the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and the party led by its president JP Nadda.

He called for active participation of the people in the state saying that to make India a developed nation, it needs collective decision and ideas.

Vitsu also explained how India has changed the narratives from Look East Policy to Act East Policy and asserted the need for the development of Nagaland at par with the rest of the nation to make India a developed nation by 2047.
