All Nagaland Taxi Association Wokha unit FC, jersey launched

Wokha, April 12 (EMN): President of Wokha District Football Association (WDFA) Zuben Lotha on Tuesday launched the ANTA Wokha Unit FC and jersey at All Nagaland Taxi Association Wokha unit office.

Speaking during the launching programme, Lotha lauded the office bearers of ANTA Wokha unit for having a broad vision while besides rendering numerous social services in various capacities in the district.

He said that since the ANTA Wokha FC is now a recognised football club, he was optimistic that they will bring various achievements and laurels to the district by identifying and producing more young football talents.

Meanwhile, he said that football is a major sport that is played, watched and loved by all sections of society in the state and now the youths are participating in various professional football clubs. He called for a collective effort to produce more football stars in the district by providing more platforms. He also wished the ANTA Wokha Unit FC best endeavors on behalf of WDFA.

Hayithung Odyuo, president ANTA Wokha unit, said this was to open a window to the youths in providing a platform. He also called the members of ANTA Wokha init and players to put God first in their professions.

The dedication of FC and the Jersey was done by Yentsao Ezung Asst. pastor, Wokha Town Baptist Church while the programme was chaired by Lipenthung Ovung general secretary ANTA Wokha Unit.

During the programme ANTA Wokha unit also extended financial assistance to WDFA for the forthcoming Dr. T Ao Inter-District Football Trophy.

ANTA Wokha unit will take part in the forthcoming Lotha Students’ Union 21st Edition Martyrs’ Trophy which will kick start on April 14 at Wokha Local Ground with Kelhouneizo Yhome, President NDPP Central Youth Organisation as the special guest.
