RARC Dimapur celebrates Ayurveda Day

DIMAPUR — The Regional Ayurveda Research Centre (RARC), Dimapur, celebrated Ayurveda Day with a plantation drive and Prakriti assessment camp at Government College, Dimapur.

The event aimed to promote awareness of Ayurveda and the importance of medicinal plants, aligning with this year’s theme of fostering holistic health and environmental sustainability.

The day’s activities included a Prakriti (body constitution) assessment camp, where students and staff of the college participated in health check-ups, and a plantation drive within the college premises.

Dr. Deepak Rahangdale, research officer (Ayurveda) at RARC Dimapur, spoke on the occasion, highlighting the significance of Ayurveda in modern healthcare. He emphasised how Ayurveda’s time-tested principles offer valuable insights for preventive health and wellness.

Nikhil Krishna, research assistant (Botany), also addressed the gathering and underlined the role of botanical gardens in conserving plant species, especially those used in traditional medicine. He encouraged the involvement of students in such eco-friendly initiatives.
