Kohima district chess championship from October 25

KOHIMA — The Kohima District Chess Association (KDCA) is organising the 4th Kohima District Chess Championship from October 25 to the 26^th at Nagaland Olympic Association Complex. All interested persons, bona fide citizens of Kohima district, have been invited to participate in the championship.

For registration, interested persons can contact 7005694541 and register or collect registration form at Northern Sports, CANSSEA building, informed a press release.

Registration fee will be INR 1000 for general category and INR 500 for under-16 (junior) category.

In general category, the champion will receive a cash prize of INR 20,000 while runner-up will get INR 15,000.

Third prize winner will get INR 10,000 while Rank 4 to 10 will receive INR 1000 each.

In under-16 category, the cash prizes will be INR 7000 for winner, INR 5000 for the runner-up and INR 3000 for third place. In veteran category (50 years and above), the first prize will carry INR 7000, and INR 5000 and INR 3000 for second and third respectively.
