MOKOKCHUNG — The Clean Mokokchung Campaign (CMC) was conferred the prestigious 6th Royal Enfield Mokokchung (REM) honourary award 2024 for their significant contribution to raising awareness about environmental degradation.

CMC has been recognised for promoting ‘small solutions with big impacts’ in their quest to tackle pollution and foster sustainable practices.

The REM honourary award is an initiative of Royal Enfield Mokokchung (REM), aimed at appreciating individuals and groups making outstanding contributions to society. The award ceremony was held at Watch Tower, Mokokchung compound on Wednesday.

REM chief, Moatemjen, highlighted that the group was established not merely for the thrill of adventure but with greater purpose of serving the community. He noted that REM members were drawn from various professional backgrounds including pastors, doctors and other professionals, united by their dedication to societal betterment.

While presenting the award, Moatemjen lauded CMC for their tireless efforts towards creating a pollution-free environment.

“May you continue your clean campaign for a better Mokokchung,” he said.

Delivering the acceptance speech, a representative from CMC expressed gratitude for the recognition. He has emphasised the importance of promoting sustainable living practices in one’s household and communities. He further highlighted the urgent need to address environmental damage, urging collective action to secure a better future.
